What the venue owner commits to
- Adopt the FANA logo for the chosen class and comply with its requirements
- For class A+: no sound system of any kind, no audio from radio, stereo or video (exception: major international sporting events)
- For class A: music only at a volume low enough not to interfere with quiet conversation between people sitting nearby
- Promote an environment of mutual respect among customers
- In case of withdrawal from the project, notify FANA by certified email (PEC)

The FANA acoustic classification
Every FANA-certified venue presupposes the acoustic preparation of the space (type A), which may be combined with the complete absence of any sound system (type A+).
Acoustic excellence
The highest level of comfort
No centralised sound system (radio, stereo, video with audio) and an acoustically prepared environment with sound-absorbing materials. Conversation flows effortlessly. The only permitted exception is major international sporting events.
High acoustic quality
Music as background only
Music present but at a volume low enough not to interfere with quiet conversation between people sitting nearby. The space is acoustically prepared. Sound accompanies — it does not dominate.
How to obtain A+ or A certification
The venue owner requests a professional acoustic test of their space. If the result is positive, certification is issued immediately. If not, FANA provides technical guidance with a quote for the necessary improvements: the venue owner may use their own trusted contractors or those recommended by FANA. Once the work is complete, a final check is carried out and the personalised certification plaque for the entrance is issued.
